Founded in 1996, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 266, Pierre-Boucher, in Boucherville, is committed to civic engagement and volunteerism. Over the years and through its involvement, Branch 266 has carved out an important place for itself in the city of Boucherville and the South Shore of Montreal. Branch 266 was born from the reunion of Mr. Laurent Rivard and his friend Armand Lefebvre.

After Mr. Rivard raised the possibility of creating a branch in Boucherville, the two men set to work recruiting the first 50 members to make their project a reality. After all these years, our members are still passionate about their involvement and take great pleasure in organizing activities and events year after year that allow them to help the community and those most in need. Join us for one of our activities and you'll quickly see the good humor and joy of being together that reign within Branch 266.

In its early years, the Royal Canadian Legion's sole mission was to help Canadian veterans of the two World Wars and to perpetuate and preserve the memory of those who died in combat.

Today, although these objectives remain key issues, community assistance and programs for youth and seniors are now an integral part of the mission of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 266, Pierre-Boucher.
